Where It All Began

Hello! My name is Anne Rose, and I created LifeByAnneRose as a passion project inspired by everything I wish I knew and had when I was a young adult.

I created this blog in March 2026 to help young adults who, like me, didn’t realize how overwhelming adult life could actually be. From dorm room hacks and money tips to figuring out what to wear to a party, I wanted to create a place where all your questions are answered—like a cheat sheet for navigating your 20s.

The main thing I wanted to focus on was making sure the information here is actually valuable and practical—especially for broke college students like I once was. That’s why every blog is tailored directly to young adults navigating the same kinds of challenges I faced.

When I was in college, I struggled with money. I wasn’t born into a wealthy family—if anything, we were on the poorer side. Going to college meant taking out loans that put me deeper in the hole with every class. The last thing on my mind back then was budgeting or “investing money”—I was just trying to get by.

That’s why one day in class, when we were told to pick a book we normally wouldn’t read, I chose Rich Dad Poor Dad by Rich Dad Poor Dad. That decision changed my entire perspective.

I started applying some of the ideas from the book—building a safety net, understanding how to use debt the right way, and becoming more intentional with my money. Before I knew it, I was all in.

Everything began to shift. Instead of constantly losing money, my habits started working for me. I started my 20s in debt, but within just three years, I was able to pay it all off and invest $74,121—using knowledge I taught myself along the way.

That’s when I knew I had to share this with others. This blog is my way of giving back—teaching simple (and sometimes more advanced) lessons to people who are exactly where I once was.

And if you stick with me, I truly believe you won’t just figure things out— you won’t just survive your 20s—you’ll take control of them.
